the ASP Advantage

Customers of our eLink Advantage Hosted Solution Service have the ASP Advantage, because it has a Service Level Agreement which embodies:

• Network and connectivity of the servers guaranteed 99.9%, on a 24/7 basis

• A mirror server service synchronised and refreshed every thirty minutes, that can be used in the interim or used to replace the primary service, probably taking two hours to be up and running again

• Secured access to your data, using the HTTPS norm

• Data encryption during transfers using the SSL standard

• Best-quality bandwidth, a direct connection to two long-distance fibre links to ensure an extremely fast and reliable access to the Internet, connected at 100 Mbit/s

• Servers secured by a firewall

• All devices are doubled: UPS, diesel generators, climate control, and gas extinguishers (to prevent damage to the servers in case of fire).

Hot-Standby Service. Our hosting includes a mirror server service that can take over the service even if the primary data complex is taken down. Clients are informed in advance of the alternative IP address so that  some users can switch over immediately. All data entered is automatically up-dated to their primary databases, when they’re back on-line. If the primary data center is going to be out of action for some time your system will be re-generated at a new data center.

You can access your company system from any Internet connection, so in the event of difficulties at your own offices, staff can be relocated to any temporary offices with a broadband connection or even using an internet cafe.

The main hosted solution server is running MS Windows 2003 Advanced Server software and MS SQL Server database engine.  We maintain the system; upgrade hardware as necessary; test and install all software upgrades whether operating system, accounting software, or eLink Advantage business management software; provide database management; automatically create and maintain daily local and off-site back-up copies of your data; and we provide bandwidth and telecommunications support.

The ASP Advantage also means that the capital costs and fixed overheads of the IT network are converted into variable overheads only growing directly proportionally when you expand your business and need more staff.
