Why have we chosen Efficy CRM?
Back in early 2000 we found a CRM product called eLink. This stood out from other CRM offerings due particularly to the way it handled the concept of Projects. This was as well as the excellent way it handled the usual Contacts, Companies and Sales Opportunities elements of a CRM system.
eLink CRM came out of a thesis on how teams could work better together by some students at the University of Brussels. Once they finished university they looked around at the software market to see if anything existed that would help teams work together this way. On finding no existing software they set up as Link Software S.A. and managed to get some government and venture capital funding (eventually around £8m over a number of years) to develop this software.
We became a reseller of eLink in 2000. Link Software unfortunately ceased trading in 2005 and the French reseller of eLink (Next Application S.A.) bought the source code and continued development of the software. We became a reseller of eLink for Next Application, and eventually became the UK Distributor too. A couple of years later the original software developers of eLink disagreed with the development direction of eLink under Next Application and decided to rewrite the software from scratch. They came up with Efficy CRM.
Efficy CRM has been around for nearly 5 years now. They have done sufficiently well with their rewritten software that they bought Next Application in February 2011. Though eLink is still being supported and developed at the moment, we have become firm fans of the Efficy product. We, and many of our clients, have already migrated to using Efficy CRM every day. We’ve also become the UK Distributor for Efficy CRM.
